About Us

Fratelli, or “brothers” in Italian, is a spot on name for a photography studio owned by brothers, Ben and Bruce Smith.

The Fratelli Studios portfolio is built upon Bruce and Ben’s 25 years of industry experience and showcases their current Commerical, Editorial, Retail and E-commerce work. Clients are hooked on the fact that when you work with Fratelli Studios, you shoot with the owners, not assistants or freelancers.

Like most studios, Fratelli has evolved to digital, but unlike most photographers, Ben and Bruce began 10 years ago. Fratelli is in its 4G digital phase, well ahead of the curve in using digital photography for both tabletop and fashion shoots.

In addition to the distinctive expertise Bruce and Ben each bring to client shoots, Fratelli has an in-house stylist and prop department, managed by stylist James Herrin. We are proud to offer clients a full service team who is accustomed to working, and excelling, together.

The Studio

Our 6,000 square foot loft is located in the architecturally acclaimed Lumberyard Lofts situated in Atlanta’s burgeoning Westside. It’s the perfect place to house our state of the art digital systems and shooting bays.

For years, the Westside has been a media professional enclave whose members now enjoy the wave of restaurants, retail and residential development that has followed. It’s one thing to be avant garde, but it’s nice to have somewhere to grab lunch too.

Speaking of food, Fratelli Studios features a 40-foot commercial kitchen where we re-create all the delicious treats we photograph for our clients and sometimes whip up a family meal for any folks who happen to be hanging around.
